Amsterdam (The Chopperdome)- De Master Lock quiz is gesloten en er is een winnaar natuurlijk. Opererend onder de codenaam Chimera is deze special forces cel voornamelijk in het door rokjes geteisterde Veenendaal en omgeving aan het cruisen. Deze erg actieve cel heeft reeds een groot stuk van Veenendaal bevrijd. Meer kunnen en mogen wij, om verdere operaties van Chimera niet in gevaar te brengen, hier niet over melden.

Drachten (The Chopperdome)- Afgelopen weekend ff in Drachten wezen kijken en showen tijdens de perfect georganiseerde Amerikaanse dag op de playgrounds van poppodium Iduna. Met een vertegenwoordiging van het Indian museum en een mooie verzameling motoren was er eigenlijk niets te klagen, goed weer en sfeertje. Ook was er een vertegenwoordiging van onze lowridende cardudes van Unity Lowrider, knappe show. Oja er was ook dragracing in Drachten, maar met een entree van 25.00 euro was deze gratis Iduna USA day favoriet.

Amsterdam (FF UCME)- Er zullen beelden van de nightcruise,
29 april jl te zien zijn bij het Urban lifestyle programma aanstaande maandag de 28ste, check voor de The Box rond een uur of negen en later op de avond voor herhaling.

Amsterdam (The Chopperdome)- Om het jaar eens rustig van voren af aan te bekijken is The Chopperdome gesloten tot 19 januari.
De heldere cruiser had dit natuurlijk al opgemerkt....

Amsterdam (Fickser)- En dan komt alles weer terug.....waren er al geruchten over Raleigh en waar je ook kijkt, een beetje merk in de US heeft dan ook wel iets wat op een cruiser lijkt dit jaar ergens in de collectie en er duikt ook steeds meer "namaak" op.. zie bv Micargibi bicycles voor een spelletje "van welk frame is dit de replica". Maar zo is er dus weer de Swing cruiser....niets te doen met de winnaar van de Gouden Lookie 2003, maar alles met swing....

Montreal (Bike EU)- Dorel Industries, known mainly for its infant car seats, cribs and other furniture, is jumping into the bicycle industry with the acquisition of the leading bike seller in the United States. Dorel said Tuesday it is paying US$310 million for Wisconsin-based Pacific Cycle, owner of the Schwinn, Mongoose and GT brands. Montreal-based Dorel's common shares (TSX:DII.B) leaped up 14% on the news, rising $5, to $40, on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
"Pacific Cycle sells more bicycles than anyone else in the U.S. bicycle industry and its portfolio of powerful brands is one of the strongest in the sporting goods industry," Dorel chief executive Martin Schwartz said in a release. Schwartz said the U.S. bicycle industry accounts for roughly $5.5 billion US in annual sales, in new bicycles, parts and accessories. As the largest player, "Pacific has the potential to gain additional share through the added strength of Dorel," Schwartz said. Pacific will be run as a stand-alone Dorel division. "The whole approach of designing and sourcing in Asia and then importing and selling to Wal-Mart and Kmart is similar to what they've been doing in juvenile (products)." Dorel employs 4,800 people in 14 countries. Its major Canadian facilities are in Montreal, Toronto and Cornwall, Ont. Pacific Cycle, founded in 1977, bought Brunswick Bicycles in 2000 and the bicycle assets of Schwinn/GT Corp. in 2001. Schwartz said Dorel has offered incentives to keep certain Pacific Cycle executives "that will ensure management continuity and provide a powerful incentive to continue Pacific Cycle's strong performance."
