In the kustom bike world “trikes” are still somewhat of a wild card, and when it comes to styling on 3-wheelers there is still a lot of unexplored territory to try out, and this fosters a sense of adventure for some builders. This bike, the “Minx” is a highly successful investigation into a rare avenue of design; not only that, it displays a very high level of craftsmanship in its execution. The low set frame on this bike is completely hand made to the builder’s specifications, and this makes its visual complexity sweet to the viewer’s eye. I liken its appearance to a sculpture made of red liquorice. Much thought has been given to the bikes ergonomic fit to the rider. The bottom bracket housing is located in a near recumbent position in relation to the seat - although, a slightly forward lean is required to reach the handle grip area. This bike sits intentionally low; so low in fact that a parking gate could be passed under with ease. The handlebars should also be noted, as they appear to be a sculpted (and integral) part of the front fork mechanism. |
Note: Four pictures p/bike on this presentation page.
