BBO CBN 2007
Amsterdam (Wazzup)- John Brain has commented all BBO entrees on CBN. Some of these bikes were seen at the COTY or at Hamilton cruise. The best from this BBO will take part in the COTY vs BBO 2.0
ElRaposo: Florian
A tough looking street machine! Well executed by one of our young German members of CBN! It has fully up to date design with jackshaft and homemade springer, frame, seat, handlebars etc! A true personal vision that would be an accomplishment for even our more advanced builders! An incredible first kustom made bike! Great work Florian!

Vikiing: One of my favourites, especially because of the length and stance of the bike. It’s lean and mean, weight is kept to a minimum, and gearing makes it a potentially a highly functional design! The frame sports one of my favourite design elements in it, an angular gooseneck instead of a line straight from the crank to the head tube. This bike has the potential to be a highly functional long distance kustom machine. Very cool!

Silver Knight: Hannan Customs: Having seen and ridden kustom bikes from the Hannan shop I know that this bike has been constructed to the highest of quality! This is another example of a bike that has succeeded in making the impossible possible! Handmade components, full gearing and a hand fabricated stainless steel frame keeps this one of the best of it’s kind anywhere! This is the first example of a Hannan bike that I have seen that sports front and rear matching billet wheels! A very impressive statement! I also like the dished areas on the frame near the head tube. The quality and fabrication are again second to none! One of the ultimate road machines in the world! Very nice to see the latest from Hannans shop! Very cool!
Radioactive: Spade Hammer…An excellent example of California style and quality components! White accents in the seat and tires pulls the entire design together in a visually pleasing way for me! There is a hint of lowrider influence but it is updated into a fully functional and visually pleasing adult oriented machine! This is the style of kustom cruiser that really works and visually kicks ass for me! This is a kick ass road cruising machine!

Orange Bike: A first kustom build by our young Australian member of CBN. First builds can be difficult and do not always present as we had hoped they would. However this orange bike from OZ turned out to be very successful for it’s young owner! He pulled off a fine bit of fabrication and was able to avoid the pitfalls of making an unworkable design. The lines are long and low instead of high and short! Something I was happy to see! The handlebars were also a good choice along with wheel and tire size for this machine! A well executed first try!

Hero: this bike is a rare example of of how industrial styling cues can make a bike truly stand out in a visual way! The style is a step outside traditional hot rod references and looks to other inspiration to really make this bike a unique statement! It will be interesting to see if future builds by this fabricator continue and expand upon the industrial design influence. Very bold work!

Quebec Power: Extrem cycles. Having had the chance to ride an Extrem Cycles bike, it’s my real pleasure to see this forward thinking example of custom design. Excellent quality and fine finish! The impressive rear suspension is a real eye opener too! Incorporating the jackshaft into the pivot bolt assembly of the rear suspension is the mark of a builder who knows just what it takes to make things really right in an engineering sort of way. Excellent!

Grease Lighting: This is probably the most unique of entries, I don’t know exactly what to make of it! Kind of has the stance of a rocket propelled kids scooter, but it isn’t! it’s fun to look at, probably awkward to ride, but in the end it was well worth the effort to build! Nobody can say that they have ever seen anything quite like it, in this way the designer has accomplished something that is very difficult! He has made a truly memorable machine!

Sally"B"El Bucko: It looks like a radical build made from a classic machine! Excellent! People will be asking you about the source of the frame and what kind of bike it originally was! Nice! The Monark fork will be a focus for many who are interested classic features, you have done an excellent job transferring the preliminary design into a real 3D subject, and you were successful! This is obviously a quality made machine too, this is no design exercise made from substandard materials! A bike and design any builder would be proud to show! We need more of this kind of build!: Pulls off the chopper style in a refreshing but still classic way! The key as always is the frame! This bike would be a fantastic riding machine by anyone’s count! The ChoppersU.S. springer is well mated to the rake and stance of the frame. The short handlebars were a good decision and keep the bikes stance at an all business level! I especially like the molding and joint cleanliness on this bike! The colour choice too is especially well thought out! This bike would be a real head turner in any cruise or event!
Gladiator

Gryphon: A highly successful build! Showing how cool a kustom cruiser can be when the fabricator goes the extra mile to make his bike a true exploration of personal style! The frame and seats suspension system really set this bike apart from casual rides! The rear end is sleek and well formed too! An excellent example of this style, top rate!

Hexed: DJ Party boy: the frame on this machine is exceptional! Good looking lines that have a radical hint to them, I can see that it is a strong design too! Fantastic! A radical chopper cruiser that will blow anyone’s mind who sees it! Id be curious to find out more about the tank? Does it incorporate any kind of function like battery box or liquor cabinet? This would make it even cooler if I knew. I’m also glad to see that you went the extra mile in your paint design! The bike has just about everything a chopper freak could want, and it feels accessible!

Pleinelune: You can’t get anymore classic a look than the lines on this machine! It’s racy, it’s a throwback to the board track racers from 90 years ago, it reflects a time when bicycles and motorcycles were closer in their origins than they are now! It’s pure bicycle though, and makes a very strong statement about just how beautiful a pedal powered machine can be! For me this is the ultimate retro style for cruisers! It is not weighted down and looks like it’s made for action! A great trend in design! Very well excecuted!
Burnout: Bill..A well constructed and obviously highly functional kustom street cruiser! The tank is reminiscent of early balloon tire bikes giving it a classic feel without the bolt-on motorcycle tank look! The well executed custom paint and bodywork is first rate, something rarely seen on a street bike! I’m also impressed that the owner searched out first rate components to make it supremely roadable! I also like the fact that the frame was modified to make it truly the owners own vision. This bike would fit right in at any kustom car or bike show
Devils daughter: One of a new breed in stretched radical cruisers, and one of the best examples in the style! Classic sprung fork on the front keeps the bike on a traditional footing. The seat appears to be highly adjustable to make it comfortable for any length of rider! A clear bonus that this kind of design can offer! Large wheels and relatively small tires keeps the visual weight of the bike down and gives it a very functional look! I am also glad to see that the fabricator has gone the extra mile and worked the frame tubes into a pleasing fluid design! If this style becomes more popular in the future it will be because of pioneering bike construction like this! Very cool
Super cruiser: When it comes to tall bikes this is one of the rare examples that goes beyond the basic aspect of tall functioning, and gets into tackling the more difficult problem of pleasing visual aesthetics! White wall tires, classic solo seat, drop handlebars, give this machine a great stance. The frame is pleasing to the eye too, it is not all function but strives for form as well! This bike is unique and visually pretty cool too!
