Bikes behind the Dikes 2005

12 December 2005 -

Amsterdam (FBI)- The "Bikes behind the Dïkes" competion...what can more can we say. Europe's best meet to decided the best bike of the year at the only real cruiser election of the year in the world. With particpants of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands and 30 bikes entering the competion in two classes we had more than a pretty good day at the Chopperdome showgrounds.

Suus bike shop taking first place in the TT class (tuned production frames), with Prince, a purple custom painted roadster with a novelty...144 spokes 7 speed hub nexus, perfectly done. Second place for the Orion bike, great job on this bike, also known as the Switch, design by Fish and third the Project 346 Basman done by the Chopperdome Garage crew. The 144 spokes/seven speed adaption part will be available next year by Suus custom design.

In the CC class (complete customs) the battle was even harden, with a maximum of 15 bikes entering. Third came Rockx bike the Mag. 7, seen already this year at the FBI, but still strong enough to take 3rd place. Second place was taken by a new kid on the block, the "Bruinsma en Pruisscher" design group, with the Tupolev. First place, build in only six days, the Bones bike, this years new king.
