New LowLow project

15 December 2002 -
Rotterdam (Robo)- Starting of with a 8 Ball lowrider frame. After filling the sides of the back and creating a tank with metal it's time for the dirty work. Polyester Bodyfiller and sanding down the bastard. Mixing the filler with the hardener is pretty tricky, it has to be just right. Mostly between 2 and 4 % of hardener depending the temperature.

So I put on a nice thick layer of bodyfiller on the tank and rearskirts and smoked a spliff while it dried. lowlow1.jpg (6715 bytes)

When it was dry I started sanding down the bodyfiller , I can say one thing and that's no fun, it's an evil task, sanding down this shit , wear a very good mask!

After a night of sanding filling little holes,sanding, filling up flaws,sanding and we'll lets fill it one more time, sanding into infinity, it was ready to get a coat if primer, which involved a little more sanding.

Time for the paintjob, which I did with brushes and acrylicpaints, there was no airbrush involved.
